its good to see small shops and businesses take on new technology to improve customer service and loyalty, especially when its a small local mom-and-pop shop like Chevy Chase supermarket which is planning to offer customers the option to pay for groceries with your cell phone.
Paying by cell phone is nothing new in other parts of the world and until recently the US was far behind on this..Paypal mobile services to be able to send and receive money using a cell phone, how popular and used is it? That Im not sure of..but Im sure we'll be seeing alot more of these kinds of mobile implementations, which is a result of smaller businesses having to embrace new technologies to stay ahead of the competition and be able to compete with the bigger fish
